Thanks for taking the time to read this. We are running Exchange 5.5 sp4, OL98 clients.
A number of users (about a dozen and growing) are having problems with system administrator messages locking up their OL98 client. They are always "mailbox over size limit" messages or read receipts. In some cases, outlook only locks up if you select the offending message with the preview-pane enabled. In other cases, the e-mail simply has to appear in the mailbox window. The latter is much more difficult to remedy as you can probably imagine.
The only technet article I have been able to find on this deals with corrupt e-mail messages locking up with the preview pane enabled.
Has anyone run into anything like this before? Any information would be appreciated. Thank You.
