client XMLHTTP connection to webservice

For some reason I cannot get a connection from client xmlhttp - I get an error returned:


System.InvalidOperationException: Request format is invalid: . at System.Web.Services.Protocols.HttpServerProtocol.ReadParameters() at System.Web.Services.Protocols.WebServiceHandler.Invoke() at System.Web.Services.Protocols.WebServiceHandler.CoreProcessRequest()


Seems not to like the way I am posting. It works fine when the method I am calling takes no parameters - which seems to mean the webservice can't read data sent in this way.

All other methods work i.e. posting forms and browsing.

Any ideas?
