Client Wi-Fi Cards with External Antenna Slot

Having just read "Wi-Fi Guide" by J.Duntemann , I would like to find a
laptop Wi-FI card which has an included antenna ("aerial" for non-US
people!)slot/port so that an external antenna can be connected to it.

Are there such items these days ? - Duntemann says that as his card was
bought in 2002 he's not sure if these types exist or not

A quick search using Google returns several manufactures who produce laptop cards with ports to connect an external aerial (or "antenna" for non-UK people ): NEC, Buffalo to name 2.
