I have an older couple client that currently has a Panasonic TDA system.
What they have a problem with is this:
Call comes in and he answers on ext 1
She joins the conversation (conference) and then after a while he hangs up.
On the TDA system this will terminate the call unless transfer is pressed first.

Bottom line is that they don't want to have to remember the process to join and leave conversations.

I'm going to suggest a CICS (they have 2 co x 10 extns) but wanted to make Positive that turning the privacy setting off will allow (a) someone to pickup the line in use and join the conversation without pressing any special buttons and (b) when the original caller hangs up, the call still continues without anyone pressing any special buttons.

I've read (here) that a max of 2 people can be on a call in this manner but that is not an issue for them.

Will a CICS work for this situation?

TIA,
MarkM

No problem, you just set privacy to no in the line programming.
