client to query a 2003 exchange address book

client 6.51 -6.5.4 to access a ldap address book on exchange 5.5 - it was just a case of pointing to the server with search of ca=us

how do i do it to 2003
do i use 389 or do i point to the GC and any idea of search syntax -

that makes two off us

god i hate exchange - taken me two months of testing this crap - then about 10 hours to migrate it

equivalent groupwise - takes me 20 mins
