client system keeps disconnect from the network

I have a few workstations that keep disconnect from the network; if I reset the switch on it's end and it works again for about couple hours then it disconnect again; I swapped out the switch already and it still happens? what could be the issue? could it be the DNS issue, if it is, it shouldn't disconnect itself from the network. I verified event logs and see this error:

The session setup to the Windows NT or Windows 2000 Domain Controller \\ad1.Sales.local for the domain Sales is not responsive. The current RPC call from Netlogon on \\jo123 to \\Ad1.Sales.local has been cancelled. Evnet ID: 5783

Do you mean that when you have this issue you cant see anything else on the network???

Can you ping other machines by host or IP??
