Client sided database connection

I have been asked to link an access database to html pages that can be burned onto a CD. It will be like a priced product catalogue for our salesmen so the only field that will be pulled from the database will be the product price. There will be approximately 1500 items in the database. I'm not sure where to begin, javascript, xml??? I would appreciate any help in steering me in the right direction.
