client/server error message

Hi,

I am using a specific 3-tier client/server software (and Win 2K Pro) to connect to the server part (using SQL Anywhere 5.0 ODBC driver and connecting across LAN); the server part is set up to use SQL Server 2000 as the DB.

Occasionally, when attempting to view a specific type of a field on the client, below error msg pops up:

CRC error on Blob field (calculated=-1177940717, expected=-775427997). The database is damaged.

The odd thing is that this doesn't happen every time the fields are viewed.

Any help in this would be appreciated,
