My client recently requested the ability to capture email addressed of visitors to their web site. Is this even possible? If so can it be done with Javascript? If not what script would you recommend? Any direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

JavaScript runs on the client. This means that for every user that visit your site, if they have JavaScript enabled, the best you'd be able to do is ask for their email address using a form and then store it locally on their machine.

In other words, JavaScript is not the way to go. The only way to store data from the client machines in a centralized location would be to use a form that submits data to a server, which in turn runs server-side script to process and store the email addresses.
