client installation problem

Hello!
I have one site with about 2600 clients to be. SMS 2003 SP 2 installed, and also ITMU rev3. I started with SMS2003 sp1 without ITMU, and system works out fine. Now, after those updates, I have difficulties to install new client to several computers. Advertisement status of Microsoft Updates Tool says that "Program generated an installation status MIF file with a status value of failed." 67,4 % of installations failed. Also, when I check the report, "List of computers that have not scanned with the latest synchronized catalog.", it says that about 1600 clients have not scanned whit that. I have succesfully installed the new client to 700 client computers. Clients, and clients to be are discovered, but I often get in ccm.log that network path not found. In same time the same computer answers to ping request. Clients and clients to be are either win xp sp 2 without windows firewall or win 2000 sp 2. We have 3 party firewall configured ok. What am I doing wrong??? I have 3 different client versions now, 2.50.3174.1018, 2.50.3174.1718 and 2.50.4160.2000. What is that 2.50.3174.1718?

2.50.4160.2000 is correct for sp2, What you need to do (if you havent) is create a SMS SP2 client advert and push it out to all that dont have it. The rest should follow after that. Is that where you problem is? you cant get the new sms clients installed?
