I have a Novell 5.1 server; which for some reason seems to be retaining all client sessions.
By this I mean that a client will connect and logon; then at the end of the day log out. However, the client session is still retained on the server; so over a period of time, the server is 'hanging on' to hundreds of sessions.
Is there a configuration (that I clearly have wrong ) where I can tell the server to close and dispose of the client session on a 'clean' logout; and also an idle time value where the server will close the session when a user has not closed the session properly ?
I know about the CLEAR STATION command; but this is a manual task - surely this functionality should be automatic under normal circumstances ??
Any help with this would be very much appreciated;
Nathan
