Client freezes

I am a consultant with not much knowledge of Citrix.&nbsp;&nbsp;My client has given me the Citrix client (v. 4.21.779) to access the Metaframe software on their server.&nbsp;&nbsp;However, it regularly freezes then either drops the connection (Error in Connection) or I have to End Task.&nbsp;&nbsp;I am dialing in a 28.8 K.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>Any clues where to begin looking.&nbsp;&nbsp;It did freeze when I tried to print to my remote printer, the first time I tried.&nbsp;&nbsp;However, reconnecting allowed me to print.&nbsp;&nbsp;It usually happens when just moving around from one window to another.<br><br>Thanks<br>Chris Gilbert

There are many things which could cause this issue, the most likely in this instance being that your printer driver is incompatible with the server's.

Go to

http://www.citrix.com,

enter the support solutions forum and do a full text search on printers, and you'll quickly see what I mean.

There are several issues with Microsoft's latest service pack for NT4 Terminal Server Edition which also cause problems. It is likely that the issues come from the server rather than your client PC.

Again, try a search on SP6 (Cautiously!).
