Client for Netware Timeout Problems

Hi All

I have a severe problem backing up Netware 5.1 SP5 boxes running Client 4.21. Server is a Win2K box running 6.1.3.
All groups with Win2K and UNIX Clients run fine, but on
some of the Netware Clients the backup stops with a
error message like:
Server host@domain.com : Authentication error.
I have already checked naming resolution, I can ping
all failed machines as well as the backup server using
short name and FQDN.
Any Ideas ?

Try a reverse lookup from your networker server to your NetWare client. When the datastream session is being setup the server will reverse lookup the client to ensure it is the client it thinks it is.
