I am using a NT4.0 terminal server with Citrix Metaframe 1.8. I am connecting with the latest ICA client. My problem is that when I connect to the server itself, the client hard drives are being mapped but I am getting access denied when I try to access them.

I have a published application that when I try to save a file from it, it brings up the ICA Client File Security screen asking me what type of access I need for the directories. When I say full/change access, I get right into the client drive with no problem.

Any ideas would be helpful.

You can right-click the top left-hand corner of the window to bring up that menu for desktop sessions.

Hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

Ok am confused. What are you talking about when you say "right-click the top left-hand corner of the window"?

there's a file on all clients webica.ini - it sets the global permissions for server access to client devices, ie drives and printers. you can set it to the following:
405 - full access
404 - read access
403 - no access (this is what it's set to when you click no access on the ICA client file security screen and it then denies you access)
-1 - no setting defined

That was what I needed. Changed the server access from 403 to 405 and was able to access the client's drives.

Thanks
