Client discovery whilst preserving daytime bandwidth

I have an SMS hierachy which essentially consists of one Primary Site and 15 secondary sites.

The secondary sites are all connected via 128k leased lines so day-time bandwidth is a large consideration. I guess the clients are going to have to be discovered during the day (i.e. whilst they are all switched on).. So, how do I best configure SMS to collect this data locally and then only send it back to the Primary site during certain hours (e.g. between 6pm and 8am)?

Under the secondary site / site settings / client agents node you can configure the agents transmission schedule.

Go into properties, select Full Schedule, then click the Schedule button.
