hi,
if i delete a client will it cause its index to be erased also....?s there anybody who have experienced this kind of situation before...
Thanks

Hi millerson!
No, the client index will not be deleted, at least not in NetWorker 7. In NW 7 you are also able to later on recreate the client, and as long as you give it the same name it will connect to the old index using the clientid.

Cheers!
Maverick

To be precise:

If you delete a client from Networker configuration, the index file index will remain on disk. (if you recreate the client, you can directly browse the index).

If you want to re-use the same name for an other client, you have to manually delete the file (otherwise it can be confusing, and can cause licencing problems with Networker6).
