Hi All,

I would like to install SQL 2005 components (equivalent of QA and EM in SQL 2000).

I have the cd's, but for the life of me I can't see where I can just install the client tools on a workstation. I have chosen Native Client tools, but I see nothing visually has been installed?

Any help appreciated.

Michael

It is under "Workstation Components" and then "Client Components"

Or you can download the Management Studio from MS as a separate installation

You may get help by means of code here. Just recall what happens to a rat when he eats the cheese off a rat trap while you're Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V'ing that code as your own[/sub]

Thanks onpnt.

I take it I choose (under install) Server components, tools, books online and samples. Then follow the prompts? I just get the feeling that this will want to install the server itself?

Michael

If you select Server Components it will install the database engine. Select only tools, books online and samples. This will install the Tools only.
