Client Comms Failure

Hi

I am using Arcserve 7 for Netware (fully patched) on a Netware 5.1 server, with AS client for NT/2000 (build 1037) installed on our W2K Terminal server.

Our daily backup keeps returning an error 'comms failure: connection broken' when backing up the W2K machine. I have reset the 1st media timeout to 15 mins and then 20 mins with no success. Backup of the Netware machine is successful.

Can anyone help?

Try the following:

a) Ensure servers are set to the same network speed/duplex

b) Ensure latest network card drivers and Service Packs (NetWare and W2k) are being used

c) Try disabling the estimate
