I have a 2 machine network at home, using the Intel 10mb USB PNA.
Machine 1 is the host for a DSL internet connection via RASPPOE. Machine 2 shares the internet connection via the PNA local network.
Both machines run W2000 SP1.
The PNA network works perfectly, shares files, printers. Machine 2 can connect to the web and surfing is fast and trouble free.
Machine 1 connects to the mail server via dsl and this mail connection works well.
The problem is that machine 2 (the ICS client) can not connect to the mail server via Outlook Express. When a mail send or receive is initiated Outlook Express (v5.5) abnormally terminates.
I installed Eudora and the same thing happens, but Eudora also displays a message that the socket is not bound to an address.
Any ideas for resolution of this problem.
Thanks.
