Client 6.5.1 install

Hi,

I would like to replace clients for our users with the 6.5.1 client.
Currently we have 4.6 clients and some R5 clients.
I don't want to do the upgrade. I would like to re-install the current clients and do a clean install of the 6.5.1 client.
Which files do I need to save and where to copy it, to preserve the settings from the old clients?

Hello,

On the old clients, copy:
notes.ini
names.nsf
desktop.dsk
Any local replicas (.nsf) that you might need

Install the new client software, rename the current files (notes.ini, names.nsf, desktopx.dsk, etc) to .old and copy your files over.

Note: R4 kep the Notes.ini in the WINNT folder. In R5 and R6, the Notes.in i is kept in the Notes Program Directory.
