Heres a real agrivating one..
Everytime I boot, trying to make a network connection on a Win98 Acer laptop, netware client 3.2 restarts the machine as soon as it trys to make a connection or start the login process (i'm assuming its netware). Theres no errors or warnings, it just shuts down. I've tryed reinstalling Client and Windows, plus two different NIC cards... ???
When I boot without a network connection available, the system boots just fine. I've done step-by-step confirmations and all seems well... theres no splats in the Device manager and no IRQ conflicts. Any ideas or help would be really nice..
Thanks Everyone

Try installing the latest nwclient, 3.3.
Are you doing a custom or a typical install of the client?
Try a typical install.

If you install the Client for Microsoft networks, login using this, is this ok.

But you must be warned that this is not secure and please just use this in a test environment.

HI!

Some simple checks -
What happens when you login as a different user?
Have you checked the user login script?
What happen when same user login on different workstation?

It could also be a problem with the NIC driver.

And also check for viruses to make sure.

I also think that ver 3.3 might solve the problem.

Bye
