I also in testing put this number on my desk phone VoIP 1120 and a co-workers as well same model and if I call from that ext on my phone it show up correctly as in 5660, but from the Analog phone still will show 5662???
Analog phone is the MARP. Here is the CLS of the analog phone. what am I missing?? Oh and this is on a Nortel CS1000 E

Print out the whole phone. At the DN entry does it show the correct CLID Entry after 5562 ? The CLID entry should show up to the right of the DN when you print it out.

Ok here is the entire print out of the phone in question. if I make a call from this phone still shows up 5662. but whe I add this number to my desk phone (VoIP 1120) the clid works the call shows 5660.??

Are you calling the same outside number to test?
If you are dialing a number that is a DID on your switch then it's possible that NARS is recognizing that it's internal and redirecting directly to the internal extension to save trunks. Even though you are dialing the call as though it is external, the switch treats it as an internal call. In that case the CLID entry would have no affect.

also rather than looking at what you get on the receiving phone run the DCH trace so you can see what you are sending, carriers sometimes substitute CLID if they are not happy with it, best to look at it there. You could also print the CLIDVER as there is no ESA setup in the CLID then it should be the same as for normal calls.
