Hi,
I've posted this question in hte cisco forums, but I havent got any suggestions. hope someone can help me over here.
We have linked one office with a CCM with our main office which has the nortel Cs 1000. Calls are working fine between the sites using h 323 trunks. However, though the caller ID appears on the cisco phones, only the trunk extension, which is 888 in our case appears on the nortel phones.
CCM System version: 6.1.2.1000-13

Type Nortel Communication Server 1000S/M
Version 2121
Release 450W

Thanks.

Assuming you have a d-channel on this? If so, I'd in LD96
enl msgo x (x is the dchannel #). And then make test calls. That command enables what you're sending out on your d-channel. To turn the messages off, same ld 96 dis msgi x.
What you will be looking for is what digits your nortel side is sending, basically confirming whether or not your sending all the digits.

hi pbxn,
thanks for the suggestion. i've left the office and will not go back in till sunday. I'll check it then.

thanks again.

hi pbxn,
the calls from the nortel side to cisco, display the clid on the cisco phone. it's the calls from the cisco to the nortel that does not show the clid.

thanks

Two questions: Is there a d-channel programmed on this? What are the channels programmed as (3VCE, VOD etc)

Hi pbxn,
yes there are d channels configured. the channel used is configured as DCIP. Is this what you need? how can i find out what the channels are programmed as?

when you stat the loop, to the right of IDLE will be 3VCE, VOD...

Hi pbxn
The channels are configured as VOD.

Ok so you established you can send from nortel side to cisco. Using the same load (96) in the pbx, type
enl msgi X (x being the d-channel) This allows you to see what digits are coming in from the cisco side. When calls come in from the cisco side, what currently displays on your caller id?

Hi pbxn,
sorry for the delay. when i call from a cisco to a nortel and run enl msgi 20 (20 being the d channel), I can see the called number, which is my local nortel number. but there is no information about the cisco number ( the line calling number does not appear).

thanks

Hi pbxn,
It's ok now. there was a setting in the CCM H323 gateway, Calling numbering plan (under Call routing information-outbound calls)that was set to call manager. when i changed this to isdn, it works.

thanks very much everyone.

how can i get the name displayed along with the CLID?

HI pbxn,
yes i have set ND2 under RCAP? Also NCRA and NCRD under route.
