Partner ACS: Customer reported that only station 12 was having calls ring back to them with no one on the line each time the station user hangs up.

I am getting a clicking noice when I place my test set in monitor mode on ext-12. it is a steady heartbeat of a click. does not appear on any other station. The station user 12 can not hear this. Checked all wiring and that is ok.

Removed the Partner Mail v4 card and it went away. Moved it to another slot and it came back.

I just had that card repaired from MetroLine. Any suggestions?

The clicking in monitor mode on the voice pair is the message waiting light being turned on. Press Feature 10-XX to turn it off manually, then re-check. The clicking should be gone.

Is station 12 a single line station? The user may be flashing, not hanging up. The flash puts the call on hold, which then rings back when they actually hangup.

Yes, thanks. I must have been the MW indicator cause the clicking is gone. Geeze that is why I love this board, I have been tearing my hair out trying to figure this onw out.

Only station 10 and 11 have 18 and 34d sets on them. This is an out bound call center so sets 12 thru 25 are single line GNN headset sets and only stations 12, 13 and 20 have VM boxes assigned to them.

Let me ask you, if messages are waiting I had just assumed that the station user had to check every so often for their messages. Is the fact that the set would ring back after the station user hung up after each call just a SLS audible message waiting indicator? Is this what the clicking does?

Is there a MWI that SLS users use?

Or could I still have a ring back problem? I am going to make sure the supervisor checks to see that the station users is not pressing flash or recall to hang up as you suggested.

No wonder it went away when I removed the VM module!

BTW Tommy. Someone mentioned that youknew a way to allow station users to automaticlly log into their own VM from their station without having to enter their ext number and password. Is that ture if so how do I program this?

My customer is telling me that station 12 is still ringing back after each time he hangs up his phone. ANy clue as to what may be causing this. I turned off the MW to that SLS.

like TTT says ( Flash ) is he hanging up with his finger first then hanging up the handset or just putting the reciever down

It looks like it is a training issue as you all mentioned. The other agents are reporting the same thing but they understand what to do and not to do. This station user is a pain in the ass anyway and he probably won't admit that he is the problem. Of course he wants to blame it on the phone guy. He hates computers as it is. You all know the type.

One more thing. The clicking while I monitor I understand is the MW indicator. Is there any way to disable this signal all the time even if there is a message waiting and without manual disable using F-10?

The voice logger I have attached to the stations is picking up the clicking and it is logging it as a call file. So you can imagine there are hundres of 2 second voice logs.
