CLI Issue with SIP Provider

Having an issue with a SIP provider when trying to manipulate the outbound CLI of a call. The SIP provider says they use the P-Asserted Identity Header to manipulate the CLI which is easy enough using the DID for CPN Substitution form and then assigning it to the outgoing DID range on the SIP Peer.

So in theory if I wanted to send my CLI as 61000000001 the From header in the SIP trace would something like From: "Test" <sip:61000000001@peering.test.net>;tag=0_000000000000-000000000000

The SIP provider is failing this with a 403 forbidden even though the number resides as part of the number range on the SIP account. Under the SIP Peer I have registered the main service number of the account which is 61000000000.

When I have taken this up with the SIP provider they say that they need to see the number I want to send in the Directory name field of the P-Asserted Identity Field e.g P-Asserted-Identity: "Test" <sip:61000000000@peering.test.net.au:5060;transport=udp> where "Test" should be "61000000001" and the registration address should be the registered trunk number.

The only way I got this to work was changing the directory name under the Telephone Directory to the Number I wanted to present: P-Asserted-Identity: "6100000001" <sip:61000000000@peering.test.net.au:5060;transport=udp>. The only problem now is that when an extension calls another extension the name shows up as the altered directory name "61000000001" rather than the users name.

I've tried mulitple ways to try get around this but have not had any luck.
