clearing search engine history

How do i remove the search engine history?? (clearing history only removes the websites visited) i am using windows xp.

Not the best answer, but type in the first letter of the search, select each entry and click the Delete key on the keyboard.

Somebody will come along with a better one.

Internet Options --> Content --> (under the "Personal Information" box) hit the Auto-Complete button --> (another box will appear) in there, Under "Clear Auto-Complete History" clear forms and passwords...
If you do now want the information to be stored uncheck the approiate boxes above the "Clear Auto-Complete History" I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...
