clearing or reseting the console

I've started experimenting with tcl/tk again after a few years and can't remember the command to clear the console window. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think "clear" works as a console command.
F9 will essentially destroy and rebuild. The effect is that the console is cleared.

i know there is a console command, i just don,t remember it. I want to use it in a script as it seems some entry widgets retain the size as my program progresses, I think i will try to destroy those particular widgets and rebuild them, but it would be great if I could know that command.

Oops. Indeed. I only tried it out in [tt]tclsh[/tt] in interactive mode.
