I have a file on my c: named IBMASRSvc.log

It seems to be connected with the IBM Automatic Server Restart service.

The file has grown to 279Mb and I would like to clear it down.

Does anybody know how I would do this.

I guess that I could simply delete the thing but I am not sure of the implications of doing this, and am reluctant to try as I am dealing with one of our company's mail servers here.

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Philnic, I have seen this file grow also to ridiculous sizes. I haven't looked into in my server domain, but I would recommend you copy the existing file somewhere, delete it and re-create it as an empty file. I am sure it will start growing again. If all is well, you can make it a scheduled job to delete it on a monthly basis.

Excellent, The log file was copied and duly removed.
I know know to keep an eye on the thing .

Many thanks
