Yesterday I needed to do some testing on a server so I assigned it an outside IP address with the static command. Finished testing, removed the static entry and did a clear xlate. I thought everything was OK but I noticed today that the outside temp IP address is back. I do a clear xlate and then it is OK, check later and it comes back with the temp address. We are using PAT for our Global address

The server rebooted last night so that didn't help

Any clue as to what I might do, I hate to have to reboot the PIX ?

Norm,
Did you do a "save" in ASDM or a "wr mem" in CLI after removing the static entry?

post your running and startup configs.

I did a write mem, everything was done from the command line

I found a clear local-host (ip address) command and that seems to have fixed it from what I can see so far

Thanks
Norm
