Clear ifInErrors on a Cisco 2950 Switch

Hi,

Im trying to clear 'ifInErrors' counters on a Cisco 2950 switch, I have tried the command 'clear counter', to no
avail.
'ifInErrors' are counts of all input errors as reflected in the show interfaces command, i would like to monitor this but because the counter will not clear my SNMP monitoring system is telling me that the interface im monitoring has failed.

Any Ideas?
