Hi,

how would I disconnect a current call with a shortcode?
Let´s say, an external party is in a conversation with User 320 (N).
I want to disconnect that call via shortcode, initiated by a SIP Invite from a SIP trunk. (The triggering of shortcode works fine from SIP Trunk. Tested also with other User.)
Tried like
Shortcode: *565*N;
Feature: Clear Call
TelefoneNo: N

Also tried Call Park, no work.

IPO rejects that request.

Any idea or hint?

Many thanks, Ulf

Why do you want that?

A telephone system is to MAKE calls, not to loose them.

Otherwise, use system status...

Hello Okkie26,

thank you for the quick reply.
Under certain circumstances, we have to drop a current call to let the HeartAttac call go through to the Doctor.
This must be an automated procedure.

TX, Ulf

That would be absolutely ridiculous!

What if there are two HeartAttack calls? The doctor is talking to the first...Then comes the second call, killing off the first (literally).

Kind regards

Gunnar

Here's what I do on medical installs:

- Create an Emergency Hunt Group, Collective, no VM
- Put the Doc in it (and remove any possibility to log out of that particular group).
- Add a Group-button to the Doc-user, it will flash when calls come in.
- Add an analog Dect and put it in the Emergency group.
(Nice external ringer and handy for the Doc on duty, if he needs to make a deposit on the porcelain thrown).
- If you have an AA in front, add "In case of a Emergency, press #"
- If a separate DDI, just route it to the Hunt Group.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Hi gentlemen,

OK, my fault: i should have told you the big story:
The IPO is attached via SIP trunk to a alarm-server.
This one handles all the alarming (e.g. via ESPA etc.) and puts it out to e.g. voice.
It also knows about which doc is actually beeing alarmend and so on.
The docs are mainly on Avaya IP DECT.

Now, the question is still:
How can I terminate an active call via shortcode.
(And "call waiting" is no option).

Grately appreciate your ideas!

Ulf
