I have not done anything in Access in years. I need to modify a data base that someone else created. I added a check box so the users can print just the labels that they want from a data base. What I want is a way that after the query is run I can deselect the check boxes so that the user is always starting fresh

You can write and run an update query that updates the checkbox field to no. In the query design after selecting the appropriate table, use the querytype dropdown (just left to the run Exclamation point on the toolbar) to select update.

On the update line for the appropriate field put no.

Barring any other criteria that you might need to consider from the other query, that should do it.

Thanks. That was too easy. I have been searching the web for a week trying to figure out how I wanted to do this.
