Cleaning up SMS (?)

We have currently began upgrading users with new systems and retiring slower machines to the parts farm (no longer powered up). Our computer naming policy is related to the primary user of the system (JDOE or JOHND). When the older workstations are replaced the new one is given a different computer name and both continue to show in the Admin Console.

Is there a way to delete the obsolete account from SMS and the database and all its information?

SMS will delete outdated information automatically after 90 days - this is the defaultsetting.
If you want you can manually delete them or modify the current setting (if it enabled of course) somewhere under "SQL Tasks"....
