Cleaning up Active Directory

I'm curious for suggestions about how best to clean up active directory.

We currently have many machines that have been taken out of service, but still show up in AD.

Also, I'm looking for the quickest,easiest way to get machines put into thier proper OU. If there was someway I could do a mass move by subnet that would be perfect.

Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
