We have a 3300 that, over the years, has a few hotdesk users as well as 5330 phone that are departed, busted or MIA.
I would like to do a cleanup but using the web interface it is very very slow.

is there a maintenace command that I can
a) clear the multiline key (muliticall)
b) delete the user

I am going through the maintenance command help now but not having a lot of luck.

Thanks

Drew

The latest 5.0 software has this option where if you go to the user and select the key tab you can clear all keys with one button push.

I would use import forms to delete the keys

it is faster to go into multiline set keys and clear them than to search for the extension... wait for the keys to load... save the changes.. delete.. wait for the page to reload.

Takes about 45 seconds per record and a lot of clicking.. Was hoping to avoid that but if I must I must.

I think I have about 50 to do so I will just chew away at it.

Thanks for the quick replies :)

Again I repeat use import forms

Yep.. will take a crack at that monday :)

Thanks for the help.

unless directed by Mitel support - NEVER make changes via the telnet/2k interface. In MCD 5.0, they've disabled it so you can't make changes; but the older systems still let you... don't be tempted to do it on your own.

Also, be sure to back up your database before you start this project.

Pay heed to what MarkACompton says. I have been supporting SX2000 systems since 1986 and the days of the SG. When the 3300 first came out it was very tempting to continue programming in the CLI until the first time you stub your toe and corrupt a database on a non-redundant drive system. The recovery is not pretty. As the 3300 has advanced into the MCD4 and now MCD5 series, programming in the CLI is tantamount to playing Russian Roulette w/5 loaded cylinders. Thank goodness Mitel finally locked it down.
