Is there anyway to get what is in the buffer out, without printing it all.

My boss sent through this 99 page document and decided he did not want it. I have gone in and canceled the job (although I could not see the job in the queue) but it keeps starting over at page 99 whether I turn it off, unplug it, unplug the electricity, etc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, JL

What printer is it ? Is the job stored on a harddisk perhaps in the printer ? If then use Web JetAdmin and the component Device Storage Management from there to delete the job.

windows98 lj1200

I sometimes have to clear out files from
windows\spool\printers in addition to unplugging the printer in order to get things going properly again.

Well 99 pages for this printer might be a big job if it contains complex graphics or images. Using a postscript driver should be considred if it`s pdf documents being printed. Switching driver or updating the current might help out also.

I apologize for it taking so long to answer all three of you who tried to help me. I needed the printer badly, so before I got replies back, I ended up just telling it to print. It printed about two pages and then stopped. So, I guess what I did was right, I just did not have the patience or confidence to let the printer do its thing.

Thank you for all your help, Janet Lyn
