The OfficeJet 9110 seems prone to getting dust under the scan glass. This ends up in a major job digitally removing the dust on photo scans.
I have searched everywhere and can not find any information on how to disassemble the top of my OfficeJet 9110 to be able to clean the underneath side of the glass. I am very mechanically inclined and have not found the "secret" to removing the glass. HP has as always been totally unhelpful with instructions, manual information or even responding to an E-mail while it was still under warranty.
I have removed the small glass on the automatic feeder and used that as access to minimally clean the underside, but I need to get the glass completely exposed to to a proper cleaning. Does anyone have useful ideas in how to get this done?
