Hey guys,

Does anyone have diagrams on how to do this? I'm having trouble actully getting to the scanner. I can't get in

Have you ever checked HP`s partsurfer ? There you will often find all the partnumbers needed for a succesfull repair and also the diagrams needed. These pages are allmost as good as those of the service manuals [wink] Check it out here :

hmmmm,
I see it but am having trouble getting to it. I need to remove the paper output assembly to get to all the clips to open up the laser assembly and get to the mirror? (sorry that sentence was done in one long breath)

Im having trouble getting the output assembly out

If you still can't get the output assembly out, here is how you do it:

- There are two tabs at the bottom of the output assembly, push those in one at a time(so they clear the metal retainers), and push the top of the output assembly forward (towards the front of the printer). Once you get both of those clear of the metal retaining tabs, it should pop out quite easily. And don't forget to remove the metal grounding strap as well.

Thanks Michael,

I ended up getting it done last week. I stopped being a sissy and went in full force.

Thanks for your reply,

Ryan
