Cleaning a CD ROM drive

Hi out there,

I have a problem with my CD drive, it cannot read CDs properly and when it comes to audio CDs I get kind of jumps ie the music starts goes to the mid and then taken back and so on and so forth. I have a feeling that my CD drive is dirty.

Could someone please advise on the best way to clean my CD drive? I am using Win2k OS on IBM ThnkPad T23 machine.

They make cleaning disks or you could try blowing the drive out with canned air.
