Hi everybody, im just wondering how to do a clean format of a second hard drive, it is getting full of stuff that i dont want, or need anymore and i would just like to reformat and get rid of it and start over with it.

Just right click on the drive in explorer and select the format option.

Wow, it so easy, I would never have even thought of it being that easy, but it makes so much sense, you do it the same way as you format a floppy... dont I feel like an idiot. Thanks

agree that micker - having been one on occasion!

I think we all have! This is a highly technical field, and sometimes we get "snowed under". At least we're are not doctors - look what happens when they make a mistake!

I certainly agree with all i have read.

Not only that, but xp is the first windows os that really has support for formatting built in. 98 and 95 didnt have the kind of support that xp does.

Good advice + great people = tek-tips
