Classic start menu drop down problem in Win XP

I use the Classic style start menu in Win XP but I find that the menus for programs, rather than opening fully, open with an arrow icon at the bottom. To see the full menu, one must click on these arrows which is a pain. These arrows are not used in the normal Win XP start menu - the drop down menus open as they should so that you can see all the listed programs.

Is there a work-around for this?

Thanks for your time

Right click the tackbar, click on properties, click on the start menu tab, click on customize, scroll down and take the tick off the "Use personalize Menus" click "ok", click "apply" and your done.

Bossbambos,
Thanks, I've been wondering about that.
