I'm fairly new to the world of mitel and would like to change the class of service on one of my ONS phones. It needs to be setup to only allow calling internally to the pbx and allow local calls. No long distance. The system is a SX2000 with a version of code that I have been told has not been upgraded since it was put in about 8 years ago. I know that i can go in through ops manager and change the class of service on the phone but do not know where to look up what the various class of services that are defined on the system.

The system connects to the PSTN via two PRI circuits.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First you need to be looking at Class Of Restriction not Class of service.

Second, Are there any phones currently on site that are restricted in the manner you speak (courtesy phone perhaps)

If yes, Change the COR of the modem to match existing programming restrictions.

If No, this could get ugly if your skill set is weak.

I will have to look and ask around to see if there are any other phones like this on site.

As far as skill set goes. I'm only new to the mitel world. I also have an avaya, panasonic, and nortel meridian system that I maintain as well.
