Hi guys,

Altough I am not a Java forum member, I had this 2 questions for you.

1. I have to install a program and this error shows, after installation and when I try to start the app.

"Unable to start the application--the Java Virtual Machine cannot be loaded.

Class not registered"

2. How can I start my Java learning?

Thanks in advance for your help, take care!!!

1. Which OS?
How do you try to start it?

2. Download a recent JDK from sun - j2sdk-1.4.2 or above or even the 1.5-beta - not just the JRE.
I don't know how good their tutorials are for beginners, but I guess, they have a lot material.
O'Reilly Java in a Nutshell is told to be a good lecture.

In general: Read and code and read and code...

As to question 1, do you have Java installed? If not go to

and download the latest java version. All of the java APIs are available as a link at this web address. If you do have it installed check that it is in the path.

The answer to Question 2 is to read Thinking In Java. It is available free on the www.
