Hi, I have compiled a VB6 project into an exe, but when I try to run it on another machine it crashes with the error "Class factory cannot provide the class". Any ideas on a solution or possible reference material would be most appreciated, as I am relatively new to VB.

Did you just copy the exe or did you build a setup package with the Package and deployment Wizard? If you copied the exe then you may be missing a file which your exe needs.

Thanks and Good Luck!

Sounds like a missing COM component which needs to be distributed and registered on the client machine.

As zemp said, use the PDW or a 3rd party tool to create an installation package.
