Using the RTF template I find that all is fine in XP but in Windows 98 if I select 'Find' or 'Find and Replace' then the 'Cancel' button my program crashes. It appears to be in the Clarion code because the same happens in the Clarion example program. Anyone know of a fix? or am I missing something?

Hi!
What I believe to be the problem is an incompatibility with the Microsoft RTF Control libraries on your machine. I was told that Win98 had quite a few versions of thr RTF control and that causes these problems. I am sorry I cannot be specific about what to do but I know I had visited a web site which explained all this stuff. I just cannot remember it. Do a Google and check if you can find the site.

Yes that makes sense and I wondered about that. I guess the Windows RichEdxx.DLL varys a lot between systems and Windows versions, in fact the system in question has 3 different versions of Richedxx.DLL
