Hi all,

I apologize for being here asking for help again

My old laptop broke, so I had to reistall on a new one
(luckily data could be recovered)

Finaly I bought a new laptop, but
Clarion refuse to work on the new machine that is a

Toshiba Satellite laptop
Centrino duo 1.66
2 GB ram
Windows XP Media Center version 2002 sp2(updated trough MS site today)

Clarion 6.1 build 9034

The problem:

When I make an application, the 'generation' process is OK, when it comes to 'make' phase the system either hangs silently or kicks me out almost always too fast to let me read the error message.

The only couple of times I could read it was
' process cannot access file xxxx.obj because it is being used by another process'

the file name changes, but it is always an obj

The previous machine was a Compaq Pentium 4 with XP pro and never gave problems.

I suspected conflict in the 16bit machine, cleaned the autoexec.nt and config.nt, tried to run Claron in win98 compatibility mode but the result is always the same

Any clue of what could be the problem?

thank you in advance

sandro

Solution found, thanks to the help of S.Parker, D.Troxell and H. Tatton at softvelocity.public.clarion6 newsgroup.

The installed Protector Suite utility conflicts with the linker

Solution: kill the psqltray.exe wih task manager and Clarion works fine.
