Clarion 5B and WinXP 1

I know 2 very old programs. But I have to do some maintenance on a Clarion5 program so I went to install Clarion 5B on a Windows XP computer (mu old computer had died). The install went well but every time I start C5B, and try to do anything, like open the application or dictionary, it freezes.

No error message is displayed, no errors in event log. I cannot remember if I had to do anything special the last time I had installed C5B. Help, I just want to fix a program and be done with it.
