What applications are u using the CLAN for?

P.S. A message to all,if you want to get the best response to a question, please read FAQ222-2244 first. The TN799, TN799B or TN799C are fixed at 10hdx. The TN799DP by default is set to auto-neg. This can be changed however only later versions of Definity/CM software support this feature

Hi. We have release 8 and a Tn7999B. We have successfully installed the Clan, however, DSA won't connect to it. Is there something else that we have to configure to make this happen?

When we test the connection in DSA it just hangs at the white window and won't give the prompt for login.

Any feedback is welcome.

Thanks.

thanks for all the response..and ctech, i dont think you can connect using DSA via IP with release 8. I think IP connectivity with DSA started with release 9.

Thanks for the feedback. Is this a limitation within r8 or is it something that we just need to activate in customer options, etc.?

thanks.

as far as im concern its a limitation. if you really want to access your switch via the network, you can use a terminal server. I've used a lantronix model uds-10 before. it has a 10 base T to db 25 serial connection. you plug it to replace the SAT terminal. note that the cable you use to connect the lantronix and the pbx has to be a cross cable. also, you can only access the switch one at a time....good luck
