Hi there

I have a Compaq Proliant cluster running Win2k advanced server. All clustering is working fine, I have a Compaq 40/80 installed on the first node (attatched to the onboard controller).

My problem is that withinn device manager the OS see's the CR3500 controllers by their name but has them down to be a "unknown device", I have tried everything to find a Win2k driver without luck. The server has Win2k SP3 and all the latest softpaq's etc from HP/Compaq Smartstart 6.20.

Are there any other CL380 / Win2k users out there who can confirm that they dont have this issue ?

Thanks

Paul.

This is normal- In the compaq user forum there is a description of a solution that loads a generic SCSI driver for the device and it moves from unknown to SCSI devices.

This is not necessary however, as the unknown setting does not effect operation. The CR3500 is attached on SCSI bus, and is separate from the system. It responds correctly to all SCSI requests without a specific CR3500 driver.
