CKE3,Legend R7,016 MLX

I know the R7 will see the 016MLX and the switch should have a 391c1 0r 391c3 power supply,but would using a cke3 or a 391A3 power supply cause the 016 MLX not to work completely? (only first 8 ports work)

It's not the power supply. The CKE3 processor does not have enough built-in memory to handle a 16-port card - so it can only recognize the first eight ports.

A CKE4 processor (or higher) is required for 016 MLX or 016 ETR modules to function correctly. Only the first 8 ports will work as stated above.

What about a 016 Tip ring card? Will it work completely with CKE3 R7 Legend?

No 16-port card will work with a Legend CKE3 processor (except for the first 8 ports). You need a CKE4 or higher processor to use fully use any of the available 16-port cards.

 

[exsmogger]

If you can find an older 016 w/ring generator analog module, it will work with the CKE3. I'm not sure about the 016 T&R Magix module.
